Just another quick reminder. Webmail service for Pegasus mail will be shut down next week. This will not delete your old mail. Your old Pegasus mail folder will stay in your H: drive. For more details, please read the following message.

Background
WebMail for Pegasus mail was a service we introduced to library in early 2001, which gave library staff the possibility of checking new e-mail messages from any Internet access point. It was a frequently used service by many library staff members. However, it has its limitations such as it can only handle new messages but cannot display already read messages.

Current status
Now we are all in the GroupWise environment. GroupWise has its own webmail interface (http://webmail.syr.edu) which allows users to access all their messages and calendars. The log files on the old webmail server show only three accounts have accessed the old server in last month. LISD feels there is no need to keep the old Webmail service running. We are scheduling to permanently shut it down by the end of this semester. The webmail link on Staff Website will be pointed to the GroupWise webmail only.

Questions?
If you still need to access the old webmail service or you have any questions, please contact LISD by sending a message to lisd@syr.edu
